Discover Scuba -
There is nothing like breathing underwater for the very first time. It takes a little getting used to but after a few minutes of awestruck wonder, most participants realize how easy scuba diving really is. The biggest challenge instructors have is not coaxing participants into the water but coaxing them back out when the program is over!
Everyone will be eased into the water by teaching snorkeling techniques first, which will then translate into skills needed for scuba diving. It will be a blast cruising along underwater without having to come up for air! We will have underwater Frisbee and scuba toy games to have the most fun possible!
Kasia Foltyn - Semi Private & Individual Swim Instructor
By the grace of God, I am the originator and head mermaid of 'The Mobile Mermaid' - bringing water safety & swim lessons to you.
I am a first generation American, raised in The South by immigrants from Poland & Ukraine, who diligently & legally worked for their citizenship. Father served in The United States Army & Mother worked in cancer research. Both were translators & interpreters.

I began swimming at four years young & was one of the youngest certified lifeguards in America at 13 & began teaching aquatics that same year. I have been in & on the water ever since - teaching, coaching, encouraging.
My love of languages & words took me into local, state, national, and international broadcast journalism. After working in newspaper, radio, and television, I dove into to being in my beloved water & with children of ALL ages, all the time.
Life is, indeed, going along swimmingly.
